The Longwood Counseling Center is a private-pay practice in Seminole County with a real referral engine, specialties that mean something, and a fee structure that respects your time. We add clinicians deliberately, not by the dozen.

What we ask
- A master’s degree in counseling, social work or marriage and family therapy, and a current Florida registration or license.
- For registered interns: a Board-approved qualified supervisor already in place.
- Your own malpractice coverage, continuing education, and licensing costs.
- A specialty you’re serious about, or the willingness to build one.
- A schedule you set yourself — we don’t dictate hours, and we don’t expect late nights.
Who we’re looking for next
Clinicians with a genuine specialty and the patience to build a private-pay caseload the honest way. Bilingual clinicians and clinicians with depth in teens, couples or trauma are especially welcome. If you don’t fit neatly and you’re good, write anyway.

What clinicians ask us.
Is this W-2 or 1099?
Associates join as independent contractors (1099) on a percentage split of fees collected, with a written agreement that spells out the terms plainly. We can talk through what that means for taxes, supervision and insurance on a call.
What is the split?
Sixty percent of fees collected on your sessions, paid semi-monthly. The practice provides the office, the referral flow, the website presence, a practice phone line and email, and the client-facing infrastructure; you carry your own supervision, malpractice, continuing education and licensing costs.
Do I need my own qualified supervisor?
If you are a registered intern, yes — for now. Florida law requires a licensed mental health professional on the premises (including by a written telehealth-presence protocol) when a registered intern provides services in private practice, and our supervision arrangements are built around each intern’s own Board-approved supervisor. We’ll be honest with you about how that works before you decide anything.
Do you provide referrals?
The practice’s website and Google presence are the primary source of new clients, and we build a page and profile for each clinician. A realistic ramp for a new private-pay clinician is six to twelve months to a full caseload; we’ll show you the numbers rather than promise you a full calendar on day one.
What credentials do you accept?
Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns, Registered Clinical Social Worker Interns and Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Interns with a Board-approved supervisor in place, and fully licensed LMHCs, LCSWs and LMFTs. EMDR training is a plus, and we’ll support you in getting it.
